Kindermusik Village (ages birth to 18 months)

Do-Si-Do

Ages newborn to 18 months
Eight 45 minute classes

Tuition: $82.00 per semester (Two monthly payments of $41)

Do-Si-Do stimulates a wonderfully unique experience of rhythm and movement for Baby and Parent/Caregiver. Movement highlights include a Virginia Reel, a combination Tango, Cha-Cha! and a “move-to-it” poem. Other activities range from chime ball play to instrument exploration and more.

Village With Seniors (ages birth to 18 months)

Introducing Village With Seniors! You're never too young - or too old - to enjoy Kindermusik! Now, we've taken Village a step further - by bringing the classroom into local senior centers and retirement communities. This is your chance to enjoy a unique, multigenerational class where you'll foster valuable musical learning experiences while building personal relationships with loving and caring seniors. Don't miss your chance to participate in this special presentation of Kindermusik Village. Village with Seniors meets at Independence Health Care behind MCI Hospital.

Kindermusik Village classes are held in area retirement and senior communities. Children and their parents will sing, shake and skip into the hearts of the elderly who attend and participate in the MAGIC OF MUSIC.

Wiggles and Giggles

Ages 18 months to 3 years
Fifteen 45 minute classes

Wiggles and Giggles is a wonderful blend of the unlimited physical energies and uninhibited playfulness of the Our Time age child! One favorite movement activity is the Music & Movement Story Time with the Watch Me! Book. Other delightful songs include Wishy Washy Wee!, I See You, and Clapping Land.

A variety of activities focus on various lesson themes such as steady beat, tempo, and musical form. Children will also enjoy exploring shaker, wood and metal instruments and incorporating fun, creative props like scarves, hoops and mirrors.

Packaged in a fun carry bag, the At Home Materials help you keep wiggling and giggling at home all through the week! You'll love the At Home CDs, the Home Activity Book, the literature books and the original home instrument for this semester, a pair of zig-zag blocks.

Kindermusik Imagine That! (ages 3 to 4 years)



See What I Saw

Ages 3 through 4 years

Did you See What I Saw at Grasshopper Park? The child is lead on a magical journey using music, books, storytelling, language, drama and puppets. The Kindermusik slide whistle is a favorite instrument included with the Home Materials. The Home Materials also include 2 CD's, 2 literature books, a family activity book, and a play set. Backpacks purchased from first semester continue to be used each week. If you already have a backpack, subtract $10.00 from the materials fee above.

Kindermusik For The Young Child (ages 5 to 7 years)



Reading and Writing Musical Notation Using Glockenspiels, Dulcimers and Recorders

 Ages 5 to 7 years
Fifteen 60 minute classes

Young Child students learn to read and write music while continuing to sing, move, listen, create, and play instruments. The capstone of Kindermusik, Young Child is the perfect pressure-free preparation for private instrumental instruction.

Semester 1 broadens the child’s musical experience through the introduction of the glockenspiel.  Learning how to keep a steady beat plus reading and writing musical notations will help a child lay the initial groundwork for musical success!

Semester 3 builds on the child’s natural interest in musical instruments with an introduction to the two-stringed dulcimer!  Learning about Appalachian music and the dulcimer’s heritage sets the stage for a sampling of Native American music.

THIS CLASS WILL PREPARE YOUR CHILD FOR PIANO, STRINGS OR ANOTHER INSTRUMENT OF THEIR CHOICE.
